On the 7th Day of Christmas....

So I finally caved- I got the kids in bed early this evening and got a power nap in. I really think its the rain, on top of the holidays finally catching up on me. I seriously just feel like curling up and hibernating for a week or two LOL.
I finished my book this morning while letting my screen upload. Definitely an awesome book- Next up-

I can't wait to dive into this book, as I am a huge "history buff" when it comes to things like JFK, Ab Lincoln, Nixon etc.. Must be my dad in me LOL.

Me and Roxy baked cinnamon rolls this morning. OMGee they were sinful! We made two dozen and ate em all up! (well not just me and roxy LOL- Bub, Stevie, Ana and Izzy ate em too)
Mercy if I ate 2 dozen of those, I would have probably exploded- But they were so good I just might have tried! LOL

As for work- well it was designing, uploading and designing like crazy. Got a start on a cute "Fur Baby" kit, "Kountry Kitsch" AND finished up some awesome new releases for tomorrow.
Mojo - I Love you!

But I must get back at it- New store opening tomorrow- and lots left to do :) YAY!
This is one all nighter I am actually excited to pull

On the 6th day of Christmas...

The morning started off awesome- with tons of birthday reminders from the kiddos. Roxy especially- I think she was more excited for me than I think I ever have been for a birthday. We spent the day playing games, watching movies and ordered Pizza (happy birthday to me- no cooking ;) LMAO)

Highlights from the day.....well Dallas found his brave man streak and finally climbed to the top of the bunk beds by himself and decided to see how monkey like he could be.
That put about 10 more years and a hundred grey hairs on my head.

The cat on chocolate struck again....this time to terrorize my children. Which was extremely humorous and frightening in the same breath.  Dallas had snuck the cat a piece of his choco penguin that he had left from his stocking. Needless to say- every time anyone walked in the house- you had to be on the lookout for the crazed fur ball hiding under the furniture ready to attack.

Imagine if you will..... Watching a 2 year old just walking across the room like normal and then all of sudden see him JUMP like a mile high and come running to the very top of the chair yelling "LOLLY, MOM, LOLLY"

Or - Picture sweet little Stevie, peering her head out the crack of the bathroom door yelling for me to come get the cat cuz it is sitting at the foot of the door just waiting for her to come out.

Poor kitten, poor kiddos- It's just overly playful (and hyped up in today's case)- It usually doesn't give a second thought to bother the kids and instead terrorizes one of the tom cats until they beg to go outside.  And even today- it didn't intentionally hurt anyone (just those playful type scratches of trying to catch something- and always let go the moment a yell was let out)
I think I need to get it a cat post thingy- or something
But I do know one thing-
I would HATE to see this cat on catnip!

We did have some quiet reading time today too- which was awesome. I read some more of my Stephen King book (which I would highly recommend btw- A masterpiece of short stories that I can't put down until I have one of the stories finished- only 2 more to go YAY!) And Izzy started on her book "Monster High" - NOW I understand why there are zombie barbies.....Not that I GET it- but I understand now! LOL
Roxy, Stevie and Ana read a couple Disney books and Bubba found himself lost in a baby animals book.

And now I am looking at midnight with 3 girlies up having a "girl time" I think this is like the 3rd Bratz cartoon they have watched tonight. I look at it this way though- since its so late and they are still up- I MIGHT actually get a day to sleep in! I won't hold my breath though ;)

But the irony of tonight is amazing how it goes hand in hand with tonights gift. So lets get on with it shall we? Tonight is a full kit- so the downloads have been broken down into 2 parts. Make sure you click on both to get the gift in full:

On the 5th day of Christmas....

Liz got lost in her new book :) I treated myself to couple- half christmas, half birthday- presents by ordering a couple books. It is one hobby that has been neglected a lot more than I care to actually acknowledge. And I am, not sure if its unfortunate or fortunate at this point.... but am one to enjoy the actual feel, look and smell of a book while reading it. I don't know that I will ever switch over to digital (kindle/nook etc) Well....that is until the book becomes obsolete and I have no other choice to keep up with the new reads.

Right now the book of choice is Stephen King's Everything's Eventual - Already half way through and I started on it yesterday :)

For Christmas I got the girls several books, as Roxy is finally getting REALLY good at reading and Ana is taking a huge interest in it. FINALLY- A VERY quiet activity we can enjoy together ;)

So what did you get for Christmas? Me - not counting my books- I received a new purse, wallet, hoodie, smelly good stuff, jewelry box, mug and herbal tea set and yummy chocolate and vanilla smelling candles. But best of all- I received 5 VERY happy children and a blessed happy- fight free day! YES- Even at Dad's house....everyone managed to get along and just enjoy one another!! BEST Christmas EVER!!

But today- I celebrate another day - O yes the dreaded (as it has now become since I realize I DONT WANT to get any older) BIRTHDAY! Although I had to laugh today while talking to my dad.... he asked how old I was- and sure enough I made myself older than reality. So it was a joy to sit down tonight and do the math and find myself a year younger than I believed! YAY !!! I DID manage to turn back the hands of time!!!!

But I have started the day off right- reading a book enjoying a glass of hot black cherry tea and ready to face yet another year.

On the 5th day of Christmas

On the 4th day of Christmas....

The world has been super kind to me.
So how was everyone's Christmas? Hopefully wonderful and full of laughs, smiles and good food! I am pretty sure I have packed on a million pounds since last post- the turkey....cookies.....candies- SOMEONE STOP ME!

I do exaggerate a slight bit on the amount I have ate- but I feel like every time I come into the kitchen I am finding something else leftover to snack on. The turkey for Christmas was absolutely delish!! I was proud of thanksgiving, but THIS turkey was so mouthwatering good that I seriously shed a tear of joy! *I should mention that before this year I had absolutely NO luck of getting a juicy turkey and usually found myself grabbing a drink after every bite of turkey just to wash it down and get SOMETHING moist in there!

This year however was like a dinner made in heaven- Now to remember all the stuff I did so I can replicate it next year.

Christmas morning found absolute amazement on all the kiddos faces. Around 3:30 in the morning Roxy woke while I was finishing up the wrapping and stocking stuffing- I froze - dead in my tracks hoping she was just sleep walking. I stood watching her sleepy stagger until she reached the tree- the look of OMG!!! appeared on her face and she froze- dead in her tracks- jaw on the floor just STARING.
Once I realized she wasn't moving for a minute, I hurried a blanket over the stuff I was working on, and said "Roxy.....honey....are you okay?" I mean my kid had just stood there for like 5 minutes staring like she was in total shock. I am not even sure she blinked-

"Mommy!! - Santa came!! - See we must have been good cuz LOOK!"

So the rest of the night was chatting it up with Roxy until everyone else woke up. Everyone was over joyed with their gifts, and we actually managed a fight free and awesome morning. *Crazy how Christmas works that way*

Either way- then it was up to dad's for dinner, gifts etc. Spent the rest of the day there and had a blast. It was after the drive around to see lights that I came home to my not-so-wonderful Christmas present.

Apparently kittens are as bad as dogs when it comes to Chocolate. I never thought to grab up the stockings full of candy treats and such before going up to dad's that morning. I mean seriously- what cat is going to go on a candy binge.... I have never known  a cat to like it.
Needless to say "Lolly" LOVES it.
I opened the door to see stuff knocked over everywhere....WTH?!?
Then out of the blue this bullet of fur dashes out from under the couch and just starts attacking my feet!!!
DOUBLE WTH?!?
Then off it darts through the room, then back, then over again....and again...and again...

You know those crazy burst of energy moments that dogs/cats sometimes go through where they just take off darting around the house..... Yea- well imagine a kitten doing this....but like he drank a couple 5 hour drinks on top of it all.

Needless to say thanks to my fluffball "Lolly" I was offline for a couple days  (actual full name is Who-da-lolly like that song in Disney's Robin Hood cartoon- Don't ask I haven't a darned clue LOL)  She managed to crack my monitor, and spill a pop Joe had left on the end table on my laptop. Got a new screen- just need to get the laptop fixed now. Although thankfully this time (o yes I ruined one before this way - only that time it was MY fault LMAO) but it still works and turns on- just no keyboard :( O well..... to the shop it goes and lesson learned....... Cats DO love chocolate and become worse than kids when it's ingested!

So either way- since my scheduling didn't work- Still haven't a clue why- I am putting it all together and opened. That way you can see BEFORE hitting download if you want the gift or not.
Day 25 of the Advent, and The 1st and 2nd days of Christmas are here- and I will put the 3rd and 4th days of Christmas on my Facebook page (that way its easier) And all of them will remain active until the 6th day of Christmas post.

24 days down

Merry Christmas to all those over seas- Especially my friends from down under. At some point today the clock will strike and it will be the big day for you :) I hope that it is one that is full of love, joy and memory making moments.

I had to laugh at my blonde moment this evening- As I have been running all day long today and hadn't been to the computer until now to get my post ready. I scheduled my post for last night- before heading out shopping with dad, but alas I set the wrong date. O GOTTA LOVE IT!
So again tonight we will have two gifts as well as tomorrow. (Tomorrow's post is already scheduled - double checked LOL)

So last night my Dad and I went out shopping to a surprisingly empty Kmart. It was nice and I rather enjoyed spending time with him while he found things to give everyone for Christmas. That is until I found myself almost falling asleep while walking..... "Dad, could you please tell me what time it is" - "Its 4:12......WOW....we've been shopping THAT long?" Yes- it was a little after 5 am that I finally got home....crawled into bed and got a little bit of shut eye.

After waking, we baked the rest of our cookies and then off to the store we went. Now the difference between night and day was unreal!! I felt like I was fighting among the masses this afternoon in the store. No wonder dad likes to go shopping late at night.... you get to enjoy yourself without all the bustle AND go without the noise of 10 million children screaming their heads off that they want this that and the other.

We then did the rest of our Christmas card giving, as well as treats to some of our area "Grandma's and grandpa's" The kids really enjoyed spending time with some of my brother's customers today and giving them some Christmas cheer. Then we went out to see some of the area light displays and enjoyed some wonderful family time.

Tonight however it's wrapping, food prep for Christmas dinner and cleaning- Another all nighter......It's almost time!

With 24 days down and only 1 to go....

22 Days down- Are you ready?

So the question now is- HOW IN THE WORLD DO WE FINISH OUR LISTS???????
Seriously- where the heck does time goes? Why can't we get it back? Someone beg father time to put a pause button in play here LMAO!

NOW- I can't complain like before, blessings have been in place this year (compared to the ones previously) and I am actually finding myself more prepared for the big day than I ever have been in the past. Half of the grocery list is crossed off, wrapping started and baking started. All gifts pretty much as good as done- I have a few things left tonight that I need to pick up, and also taking Dad out tonight to do his shopping (or doing it for him one way or the other) And well..... enjoy the holiday! YAY! Even though my list looks small- I can't make myself think that when I open the closest and see the presents staring at me laughing.

I have baking to do tonight- and prepare for the kids Holiday parties for tomorrow. I also have to finish the teacher's gift. Should be a fun all nighter - But will be in good company of netflix, mountain dew and maybe a night walk to shake myself awake when I find myself smacking my head off the table in the middle of it all LMAO.

So anyways- Here we go (with yesterday's and today's gifts) This should get us all caught back up and on the midnight hour again YAY! And I will give a heads up- that there will be ONE other day that will have 2 gifts on it and that is Christmas Day. THOSE TWO GIFTS WILL BE 48 HOURS DUE TO THE HOLIDAY. I have already scheduled the post to go that night for the last day of advent and first day of Christmas. (O yeah, those that are new, there is a 12 days of Christmas that follows that has ALL brand new and amazing goodies ;)

20 days down

I apologize for yet another hiccup in the Advent countdown. For those on Facebook, you saw that I excitedly posted that our Christmas prayers had been answered and we received the miracle that we needed. I am over the moon about the fact, but it did not come without a price of a lot of work. I am still in the process of trying to meet the demands in order to make everything work out perfectly- it is just taking pretty much ALL of my time.
And to top it off, Roxy and Bub have come down with the cold again, and what little time I did get was spent playing doctor (and with an unexpected inlaw visit) BLAH- The downfall of the holidays- You have SO much to do and no time to get it done in! LOL
I squeezed away this afternoon from doing things at Dad's house, due to Roxy's school calling and needing me to come and pick her up (We thought we kicked it and it was just a 24 hour type of thing) But i am actually grateful for it, as she really isn't acting all that ill- no fever or anything, I just think she was finishing off getting it out of her system. But me having to get away allowed me time to get home and be able to play catch up here.
Tonight and tomorrow will be loads better, because I have my sisters switching shifts with me at Dad's house and taking over the workload that needs done there. Will give me the much needed time to finish preparations for Christmas here YAY!
I will update more later, as I have a boatload left to do for the evening before I can sit down for my breather- But since I am delayed in today's post (as well as yesterday's) The TWO downloads will be available until tomorrow evening.
And tonight I will be back with day 21, some photos- updates on whats going on in the life of Liz and also exciting news that I am also trying to prepare for. (Those taking advantage of the 5 o'clock hour tonight- Take one for me too LMAO)
With 20 days down and only 5 to go....
